Real Avid 4-in-1 Glock Tool review

Review: Real Avid 4-in1 Glock Tool

I love it when I find a handy gadget to throw in the range bag and the Real Avid 4-in-1 Glock Tool has taken up permanent residence there.

Real Avid has been around for several years in the USA, providing gunsmithing and general shooters’ tools and accessories.

The Real Aid tool has four simple but essential attachments for working on Glock pistols

The company seems to have a knack for finding simple, clever solutions to challenges shooters face and the Glock Tool is no exception.

It is in a folding pocket-tool configuration that fits easily in any range bag (or even in your pocket) and weighs next to nothing.

It features four handy tools in the one package:

  • Armourer’s 3mm pin punch for all Glock pin sizes
  • Magnetic 3/16” hex nut driver for front sights
  • A .050” Allen wrench for rear sight adjustment
  • Flat-blade screwdriver for prying slide lock springs and locking blocks etc.

It’s hard to do without a pinch punch if you own a Glock

I have had it about a month now and have used it several times at the range for minor adjustments (yes, I like to fiddle with things).

It seems well made and is certainly convenient and easy to use.

The tool is always with me in the range bag rather than being kept at home in a toolbox on the bench.

Real Avid gear is now being imported by Ground Force International, so it is starting to show up on more and more dealers’ shelves.

Typical pricing is $45-$49 at most gun shops.
