The Brisbane Firearm Expo will bring the best of the hunting and shooting industry to Queensland when it is held in May next year, featuring trade displays, live demonstrations, educational sessions and opportunities to lay your hands on the latest products.
You’ll even be able to buy firearms and ammunition at the event, subject to having the correct license and permits.
Backed by Shooters Union Australia and firearms-based training specialists Asset College, the Expo aims to give Queensland and northern NSW shooters the same standard of show as SSAA’s SHOT Expo will provide in Melbourne this October.
The Brisbane Firearms Expo will be held at the RNA Showgrounds on 24-25 May 2025.
“This year’s expo promises to be bigger and better than ever,” event coordinator Amanda Saunders said, adding there would be some “innovative exhibits”.
She said they were expecting more than 12,000 people to attend, with as many as 150 exhibitors at the show.
The show is being organised specifically so that it will cater to people of all ages, she said.
At the same time, the Australian Firearms research Centre will be conducting a study on the firearm community in Australia as it stand today.
“Aimed to fill the crucial gap in understanding the intricate dynamics of the industry, the study also aims to shed light on the multifaceted perspectives within the broader community,” Ms Saunders said.
Educational sessions will not only be hosted live at the event but will be live-streamed, opening them up to people who cannot attend the expo.
Activities at the event will include an indoor air rifle range, archery range, gel blaster gallery, night vision experience and working dog displays.
Details of tickets sales and prices will be available in February.
Meanwhile, the organisers are taking industry bookings for space and sponsorship, which must be booked by the end of December.
Already the platinum-level sponsorship packages have been spoken for.
Clubs and associations are being offered discounted rates to display at the expo.
For a prospectus, trade members can contact Ms Saunders by email or download an exhibitor application form.
