The editor researches and presents the new .308 Palma bullet from the “bulletsmiths”.
I’ve had a long association with the NRAA Fullbore discipline, having shot 7.62mm Omarks since I was 14 in club, district and state competitions and have seen the advance in ammunition over a window of 40 years.
Starting with Australian Military 7.62mm F2 ammunition, spitting out a 144gn FMJ open-based, boat-tail bullet at around 2850fps from a 26-inch barrelled target rifle, it was very good for mass-produced ammo, generally managing to hold MoA elevation out to 900 yards, a credit to our Australian ordnance manufacturing at the time.
