Can Stainless Firearms Be Blued

Can stainless steel be blued? I sure hope so, because I have a Ruger M77 stainless which I was given by a mate would much prefer a blued finish over the stainless. Can stainless be blued or coloured black or something?

Everything from black paint to black chrome has been used to give stainless a more traditional look. However, your best bet is to get the rifle Cerokoted. This is a hard durable finish that is superior to any kind of bluing.
