Q. Can you tell me what kind of revolvers Clint Eastwood used in the film “The Outlaw Josie Wales”? I just bought and watched a DVD of the film and reckon it’s one of the best westerns of all time. What do you think?

A. Clint Eastwood used a pair of 1847 Colt Walkers in The Outlaw Josie Wales. Walker copies made by Uberti are imported by Beretta Australia. It was no hardship for me to dig up my DVD of that movie and watch it again to answer your question. It is
a great movie, but not as good as Lonesome Dove.
Incidentally, Uberti also makes an iron-frame replica of the Henry rifle in.44-40 (instead of the .44 Henry Flat Rimfire cartridge) that’s a spitting image of the original with blued or brass frame. Bet you’d like to stick one of those Henrys in your saddle scabbard cowboy!
