A $20,000 reward is being offered if information provided leads to the arrest of those responsible for the killing and skinning of a bison on a property on the NSW mid-north coast.
John Vanstroe’s prized seven-year-old “Chief” was shot at the Central Bucca property, north of Coffs Harbour, and had half its hide removed.
The value of the animal is estimated at around $20,000.
Mr Vanstroe says the family is devastated by the killing of the animal which was more like a pet.
Police are appealing for information after a Bison was shot & killed at a property on Mardells Road, Central Bucca.
About 10pm on Saturday 15 June 2019 some gunshots were heard on the property. It was later discovered that the 5 year old animal had been shot and skinned, with the skin then stolen by the offender/s.
