For three decades the Australian Deer Association’s Victorian Hunter Education Course has been the benchmark for deer hunter education in Australia. This year’s course will be conducted from the June 13-15 at Forest Edge in Neerim, Victoria.
The team run the course on a volunteer basis, and all of the presenters also give their time for free, allowing hunters to participate in the premium hunter education experience at around a third of the cost of a “for profit” course
The presenters at this year’s course include Rob Fickling from Beyond the Divide, Tony Cudmore from Moroka30, Stewart McGlashan from Game Victoria, Eamon Leahy from Victoria Police, Bush-craft and Survival expert Bob Gough, Hunting legend Peter Christian from Baw Baw Adventures, renowned writer Dr Matt Draisma and ADA Life Member Ken Slee, to name but a few
Through a range of hands-on, field-based classes and presentations in the lecture theatres the Victorian Hunter Education Course guides participants through the what, when, where, why and how of wild deer and builds a fundamental understanding of deer and hunting which new hunters can then apply in the field. This includes what to do once you have your deer on the deck.
At just $340.00 for members ($430.00 non-members) the Victorian Hunter Education Course is exceptional value. All meals and accommodation are provided, along with a comprehensive (200 page) book of course notes
If you or someone you know is ready to get serious about hunting deer in 2014 then register now for the Victorian Hunter Education Course.
