A new online jobs platform has been created exclusively for the Australian firearms industry, and it’s free to both job seekers and employers.
SIFA Jobs launched last week specifically to help the local firearms trade find talented people to fill vacancies in all areas.
It is the latest scheme launched by Shooting Industry Foundation Australia (SIFA), an industry body supported by several major importers and distributors.
“For those looking for work, or seeking to break into and develop a career in the Australian shooting industry, this site aims to have all the latest vacancies advertised in the one spot, making it easier for job seekers to apply for positions,” said SIFA executive officer James Walsh.
Already there are a number of jobs advertised, from a junior store-person’s position, though a digital marketing coordinator’s spot to an international sale representative’s role. Shop and range staff are also sought.
Currently, jobs are available in Queensland, NSW, Victoria and the ACT, with jobs from other states and territories expected as the platform becomes widely known.
