This looks so-o-o controversial.

Can newspapers possibly get more biased?

“Secret government bid for school pistols” is the heading with a sub-line of – wait for it,  “Teenagers would be able to shoot guns during school hours under a secret plan hatched by the Education Department and powerful lobby groups.”

The article goes on to outline the consultation process that has so far progressed and then seeks comments from former Education Department heads. Read on.
“Former department director-general Michael Coutts-Trotter and his deputy Trevor Fletcher were ‘concerned’ by the submission, which is believed to have been commissioned after negotiations between the former Labor government and the Shooters Party last year. According to the department, Mr Coutts-Trotter and Mr Fletcher immediately ‘set aside’ the paperwork.”

Go to the Daily Telegraph website where they are running an online poll on whether secondary students should be allowed to engage in shooting as a school sport. It needs your input.
