If you have a desire to get closer to firearm politics in Australia, the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party is looking for two people to work full-time in NSW Parliament as secretary/research assistants in the office of Mark Banasiak MLC.
The roles involve working closely with Banasiak on a range of subjects covering almost everything the party deals with in parliament.
“This position will be multi-focussed and include but not limited to research and assisting in the writing of speeches, and other contributions to be given in the Legislative Council, media engagement, assisting with office administration, managing constituent enquiries and correspondence, supporting parliamentary work including responding to and developing legislation, assisting [Banasiak] with committee work, managing content on the office website and social media channels,” according to the job ad.
“As part of this role you may be required to travel within NSW to assist [Banasiak] with his duties.
“Having training and/or experience in communications/media would be considered favourably.”
The positions are full-time for six months “with a view to ongoing employment”.
The pay is roughly $90,000-$101,000 a year plus allowance, superannuation and holiday loadings.
