Fox taking bandicoot caught on trail cam
The Shooters and Fishers Party has released an image it received showing a fox taking a Southern Brown Bandicoot. The image was taken by a trail camera set up with night vision and is first-hand evidence of the damage introduced species are doing to our native animals. “Still most states are refusing to implement a fox bounty,” the accompanying Facebook post reads. “Victorian hunters have killed literally hundreds of thousands of foxes since a bounty was introduced 2 years ago. The Greens especially should hang their heads in shame because their ideological and illogical hatred of firearms prevents the implementation of genuine conservation measures.”
Congressional research shows more guns = less crime
Congress in the United States has found that while gun ownership has soared, the gun murder rate has fallen significantly. In a Congressional Research Service (the body that provides independent policy and legal analysis for Congress) report, it was revealed that gun ownership had increased from 192 million firearms in 1994 to 310 million firearms in 2009. From 1993 to 2010, the “firearm-related murder and non-negligent homicide” rate went from 6.6 per 100,000 people to 3.2. So while there are nearly twice as many firearms, there are half the gun murders.

New York City demanding rifles and shotguns
Reports from New York City have revealed that new gun bans are now being enforced with letters to gun owners demanding they hand in rifles and shotguns that hold more than five rounds. The letter reads: “It appears you are in possession of a rifle and/or Shotgun (listed below) that has an ammunition feeding device capable of holding more than five (5) rounds of ammunition. Rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than five (5) rounds of ammunition are unlawful to possess in New York City, as per NYC Administrative Code 10-306 (b). You have the following options: 1. Immediately surrender your Rifle and/or Shotgun to your local police precinct, and notify this office of the invoice number. The firearm may be sold or permanently removed from the City of New York thereafter. 2. Permanently remove your Rifle and/or Shotgun from New York City and provide the following…Disposition Report/Registration Certificate…Notarized statement of permanent removal…Utility bill or other proof of residency regarding the address where the firearm will be stored outside the City of New York. 3. You may call to discuss the matter if you believe your firearm is in compliance…”
