An article from Adelaide Now points out that animal activism seems to have become less about animal welfare and more about pushing their boring, meat free existence on to the rest of us at any cost. Entertaining reading but also very true.
Unhealthy vegetarian diets?
In similar vein comes this article from the Science 20 website that shows vegetarian diets may not be all they’re cracked up to be anyway. In this study, people who ate at least some meat showed reduced incidence of cancer, allergies and metal health disorders.

Next, by way of warning, we bring you an article from The Courier in Ballarat, Victoria, that tells of high numbers of firerams being stolen and ending up in the hands of drug dealers. It’s a timely reminder to make sure your safes are up to scratch.

Where are Victoria’s guns?
Finally we have an article from The Age pointing out that, in Victoria, there is one gun for every nine people. That doesn’t seem like many to me seeing that many gun owners have multiple firearms? There’s also a neat graphic of where abouts in the state all the guns are – that should be handy for thieves.
