Q: Does Kahles still make scopes with its multi-zero system? My mate has a Helia CS 2.5-10x50mm that he bought back in 2007.
It is a fabulous system and he regularly knocks off game with it out to 500 metres. I’d love to get a scope like it.

A: I was at a Kahles seminar in Austria when they launched Multizero scopes and the system was most impressive.
It allows shooters to zero their rifle at five different shooting distances using non-conventional elevation turrets. Once sighted-in the adjusted settings can be easily located by a simple turn of the turret.
Multizero allows the hunter to shoot straight through the crosswires at five pre-set distances rather than trying to estimate how much holdover to use on distant targets. I shot at a chamois target at 500 metres and had no trouble landing three bullets in its chest.
Kahles no longer offers Multizero as an option but it could be ordered as a rather expensive custom addition. Instead, Kahles offers its Ballistic Turret system that fits a number of current models. It can be fitted on your kitchen table.
Swarovski (which owns Kahles) has a similar system that it too calls Ballistic Turret. Leupold now offers its Custom Dial System (CDS), and a few other manufacturers have instigated their own equivalents of multi-zero turrets. Take your pick.
