Is there anything the boys from Pro-Tactical won’t make?. This time it’s a pair of mild steel welded reactive flipping targets. Attractively finished in orange or mid-blue enamel, they have enough weight in them to require a solid hit from a .22 long rifle to turn over,
or flip to one side depending upon how the bullet hits. The whole idea of reactive targets is to allow you to take another shot without continually having to set it up again, as they re-set themselves. One of the target sports four crow silhouettes, while the other
is simply circles.
We are fans of the humble .22 here at Sporting Shooter because continued practice with inexpensive ammo in all conceivable field positions pays dividends when you go after game and these reactive targets will help build that skill. If you can regularly hit one of these targets at 25 metres or better off hand then you’re ready for the field.
A word of warning though. When you are ready to try one of these targets, you are well advised to take the safety advice on the box.. You are, after all, shooting at a steel target with a soft bullet.
