Metoni Deluxe gun bag

The Metoni Deluxe Hybrid gun bag is a well-constructed, heavy-duty case that will protect your valuable firearm and riflescope when travelling to the range or out bush.

I’ve owned one of these bags for nearly a decade and it’s almost as good as the day I purchased it.

Unlike typical gun bags, the Metoni Deluxe offers a stiff, rigid outer design similar to a hard plastic case, but it is actually a very tough outer shell constructed of 1680-denier poly canvas with reinforced sides.

It has a reinforced bottom for greater wear resistance that also helps form a solid body for the bag.

Water resistant, the Metoni offers a pair of balanced carry handles and two shoulder straps, so you can wear it as a backpack if you wish.

In addition, the outer shell has two separate zip-up compartments for storage of a rifle bolt, cleaning gear, ammo or other accessories.

The bag features dual heavy-duty zippers along the full length that can be locked together.

Last but not least, a generous layer of high density eggshell foam lines both sides of the bag’s internal compartment and is guaranteed to stop all movement.

When you’re not using the bag, a hang-up loop for storage has been added at the top.

The Metoni Deluxe gun bag is available in black or camo in 44”, 48” and 52” sizes. Retailing for around $130, they are excellent value for money.

A new Tactical double gun bag was recently added to the Osprey range, with centre divider to house two firearms if needed. The whole range includes standard-style gun bags and covers.

Ask to see them at your local gun shop. Trade enquiries, contact distributors Alcock & Pierce.
