The F-Class World Championships is underway this week inRaton, New Mexico, and a strong Australian team is hoping to bring home the FarquharsonTrophy by winning the team event.
F-Class shooting is conducted over a range of between 300mand 1000m, but unlike Target Rifle, is open to long-range rifle scopes. Introducedto allow older and less able shooters to still compete, F-Class has grown in popularityto be one of the fastest growing disciplines in the world.
Divided into F/TR (for traditional Target Range calibres)and F-Open (for all calibres), the competition is held every four years andawards individual shooters and international teams.
South Australian team members Richard and Stuart Braund,David Zerbe and Mike Willment were featured on US shooter website, www.accurateshooter.com.They make up part of the Australian team competing this week, with the awardsceremony on August 22.
