Beretta #IAMASHOOTER Launches

Beretta Australia in conjunction withSSAA, launched the #IAMASHOOTER hash tag. The campaign encourages shooters to “show your love of shooting” by sharing pictures on social media.

A large billboard on the busy Melbourne West Gate freeway was commissioned by Beretta Australia late last week for the launch of the campaign. The billboard features Olympic Gold medallist Catherine Skinner as the face of the social media campaign.

The billboard sparked media attention from the Herald Sun looking to twist the positive campaign into an anti-gun/hunting article.

Briana Travers and Cassie Zervos from the Herald Sunused old quotes from the Alannah & Madeline Foundationto support their anti-gun sentiments. It looks like the pair have not contacted the foundation for a direct quote.

The article from the Hearld Sunhas only given the #IAMASHOOTER a solid kick start judging by the comments received on their online article.

The #IAMASHOOTER has taken off. Keen shooters and hunter sharing their enjoyment for their past time. From clay pigeons to hound crews the hash tag has shown shooting in positive light.

Smiling faces young and old are seen sharing the hash tag on Facebook and Instagram from all over the country. Even some Kiwis have got on board to show their support.

Beretta with SSAA National have added prizes for those interested in gettinginvolved. Simply add #IAMASHOOTER to your own shooting photo and share on Instagram or Facebook tag @BerettaAustralia or @SSAAnational to be in to WIN some great prizes. (Competition closes 31/10/16, make sure you don’t miss out!) Look out for something big with #CatherineSkinner
