December Sporting Shooter out now!

The latest issue of Sporting Shooter is out now and, like usual, it’s choc-o-bloc full of hunting and shooting stories and information. The cover is adorned by the image of a cracking trophy goat, thanks to the photographic skills of Alex Juris. Accordingly, the feature story by experienced hunter and regular contributor, Mike Cleary, is all about a group of mates who head out on a goat hunt to celebrate a 50th birthday.

Other hunting stories include a piece by Ted Mitchell, who took our tin-arsed editor Marcus O’Dean out on a scrub bull hunt – only for him to shoot a trophy red stag. Then there is a piece by Brendan Jones, who shot a good boar on a chital hunt.  Meanwhile Gary Hall tells of enlisting the help of the traditional owners when pursuing pigs in the Top End.

Young knife maker Tyler Atkinson tells us how he comes up with his quality bladeware. Then Nick Harvey presents three quality reviews on the Weihrauch HW 77K Blackline air rifle, the Ruger American Ranch Rifle .300 AAC Blackout, and the Leica Magnus riflescope.

All this in addition to our usual columns, photo comps, technical tips, industry news and latest products makes this an issue not to be missed.  Be sure to get to your local newsagent or gun shop to grab your copy. Better still, subscribe HERE.
