Lauryn Mark has succeeded in her aim of raising the profile of competitive shooting sports by posing for a sexy photo shoot in Zoo Weekly, and her exposure has been boosted by the controversy surrounding husband Russell’s comments over their enforced separation in the Olympic village.
Lauryn made the cover of this week’s issue of Zoo, an honour few magazines would ever grant a shooter for any reason.
Posed in a handful of different outfits in a major feature for the magazine, she looks comfortable, fit and sexy.
Prime among the outfits in a green-and-gold bikini, which Lauryn wears while holding her Beretta.
But that has, as expected, brought criticism from some people who see it as part of the objectification of women.
Russell believes it may have something to do with the couple being forced to sleep in separate accommodation in London, where they are now both preparing for the Olympic Games.
Officials have denied Russell’s accusations and said they would try to clear up the matter. The Marks have meanwhile said they want to move on from the fuss and focus on the Games.
Lauryn has promised the money raised from the photo shoot to the Melbourne Royal Children’s Hospital.
Zoo is on sale this week at most newsagents.
