An online auction chock-a-block with great hunting and shooting gear is headlining a fundraising campaign for renowned Australian hunter Michael Gibson, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Everything from firearms to overseas hunting adventures are up for grabs in the huge auction, which has been supported by a large part of the Aussie shooting industry, such is the respect and admiration Gibbo has earned.
Gibbo has built a huge online following over the years, including the Hunting Australia Facebook page, and is a former editor of the Sporting Shooter website and frequent contributor to the magazine.
His influence ranged widely across social media, including Youtube and Instagram.
He has nurtured and supported hunting here through his efforts, promoting the culture in a very positive way.
Hunters are repaying his loyalty to our sport through a GoFundMe campaign that aims to help Gibbo’s young family.
The Mission Gibbo auction ends later this month, with 27 varied items open for bidding.
