Girls just want to have fun
We start with a great piece from the Courier Mail about an increase in the popularity of guns amongst Queensland schoolgirls, some of whom are doing very well in competitions. There’s some of your usual nonsense from GCA’s Roland Browne – he equates his son pointing a torch in someone’s eyes with pointing a gun at someone – but overall it’s a positive story that augurs well for our sport.
Gun facts
Next we have another positive piece from Dr Samara McPhedron, published on The Big Smoke website. Dr McPhedron argues that the facts simply don’t support the argument of NSW MLC David Shoebridge that more gun laws equate to more safety. We all knew that, but it’s good to see someone speaking up and putting it in writing. Dr McPhedron is the current Chair of the International Coalition for Women in Shooting and Hunting.
Pig hunters finding love on-line
Here’s one for all you lonely pig hunters out there. According to this News.com article, a match-making Facebook site especially for pig hunters is having great success helping desperate and dateless doggers find love with like-minded guys and girls all over the country.
