Southern Cross Small Arms Taipan pump-action .223

Southern Cross Small Arms Taipan pump-action .223

The highly anticipated Southern Cross Small Arms Taipan is a thoroughly modern pump-action rifle in .223 designed and manufactured right here in Australia, with the Australian market in mind.

The inspiration for the Taipan came from the need for an Australian-made production rifle put together using high-quality materials.

This pump-action centrefire is well suited to Australian conditions, featuring the use of a proven rotating bolt system.

What’s more, it is lightweight, well balanced and compact, featuring a proprietary polymer grip, ensuring comfort while helping you acquire targets quickly and with ease.

The new Taipan is anodised then Cerakoted in SIG Dark Grey for wear resistance and longevity.

Other features include a barrel length of 16.5” (410mm), 1:8 twist, button-rifled stainless steel barrel, straight trigger blade, two-position safety and a pair of 10-round magazines.

Available in .223 Wylde (a hybrid cartridge that allows a rifle to safely fire both .223 Rem and 5.56×45), these well-made pump-action rifles weigh in at 2.95kg and are extremely compact.
