Australia’s favourite hunting magazine has had a makeover! Starting with the July issue of Sporting Shooter (out now!), you’ll find a new clean style, stronger colours, modern banners and bigger photos and graphics. There are also some new sections designed to bring you all the very latest from the hunting and shooting world, but don’t worry – your old favourites are still there too. Check it out and let us know what you think.
In other news from the magazine, the July issue also marks the first issue of Sporting Shooter available for download to iPad. If you like to receive your hunting news in pixels not print, you can do so HERE.
As you’d expect, the July edition is another cracker, starting with the cover shot of a pig that’s looking at you like you owe him money. Inside, the lead article is Reid Hjorths’s pig hunting odyssey in which he nails a power of pigs on his way from Darwin to NSW. Then you’ll find another five hunting features dealing with dingoes, foxes, fallow deer, hog deer and goats. Some new Hunters Element camo clothing is reviewed, while Nick Harvey tests out two rifles (the Mauser M12 and the Colt M-2012). Finally, of course, there are our ten usual departments . It’s a massive read in the new style, so head down and pick up a copy from your local newsagent or gun shop.
