Sit back and enjoy our weekly package of five YouTube clips from the hunting and shooting world, hand picked by the team at Sporting Shooter. There’s a bit of everything today, from the informative to the bizarre, so I’m sure you’ll find something you like. Check it out!
Reading the wind
First up we have a short but informative video from the United States Army Marksmanship Unit about reading the wind. It’s a well made clip presented by a USA national champion.
Shooting without sights
Next we have ‘Pro Shooter’ Kirsten Joy Weiss running us through what we should do if we accidentally leave our rifle scope at home….and the open sights accidentally fall off. This vid is definitely entertaining…and at least now I can sleep at night!
Extreme range shooting
I’m not really into long range shooting, and I don’t really care who ‘wins’ this camparison of Berger and Sierra bullets fired out of a .260 Rem. But it is awesome to see these blokes hitting targets at an incredible 1950 yards. Unreal!
Deer stalking
For the deer men and women out there we have this trailer for the Deer Addiction 3 DVD. There’s some heart pumping footage of stags up close – one can only imagine that the full DVD must be pretty damn good.
Hand making axes
For a change of pace we have this thought provoking and informative vid about hand making axes. Whatever did happen to all those skills we used to have before we invented machines to do everything for us?
