Marcus and the Sporting Shooter team have been at it again, trawling through cyberspace to bring you this week’s package of five YouTube clips from the wonderful world of hunting and shooting. There’s sure to be something for everyone, so grab a beer or a coffee and have a look.
Koch by name and nature
Watch as Sunrise host and anti-gun ignoramus David Koch makes an arse of himself – again. This time he’s in America and, amongst other things, he tells his guest that that all Australians think Americans are mad, that the second amendment is “hogwash” and that guns “should be scary for everyone.” Time to change the dial folks.

Roaring red
Next comes a clip in which renowned Kiwi film makers, the Graf boys, roar in a young red stag that gets tangled in a vine trying to make its escape. It’s entertaining and educational viewing for those interested in deer hunting.
Fallow rescue
Sticking with deer we have this clip of some terrific Hungarian fallow bucks being rescued after they become tangled in fencing wire. It’s a bit like fishing for fallow as they pull them in on the wire.
Air rifle deer
This clip shows an American air gun enthusiast hunting whitetail deer with a .357 calibre Benjamin Rogue air rifle firing 148 grain hollowpoint projectiles. I’s interesting viewing – but I’m not sure I’m ready to trade in my centrefire just yet.
Beyind The Divide nominated
To finish, we have a short clip announcing that popular hunting TV show Beyond The Divide has been nominated for the 2014 Antenna Awards. Well done to Rob and the team – let’s hope they can pull it off. We’ll have more about this on the Sporting Shooter website in the next week or two.
