Purpose built for wing shooting or fast point-and-shoot scrub hunting, the new Vortex Viper SG green dot shotgun sight is available in the choice of 3 MOA green dot or 3 MOA green multi reticle. One features a simple 3 MOA dot while the other, a green centre dot with circles that can be customised.
The only difference between both units is the reticle. Featuring a low profile design, wide field of view and superior recoil control, these green dot sights will fit a range of shotguns and I’m told some lever guns. Offering unlimited eye relief and fully adjustable, they offer 30 MOA of travel per rotation with 100 MOA of windage and elevation adjustment.
This unit is powered by a single CR2023 battery on the side of the sight that allows battery change without having to remove the device. The Vortex Viper green dot is drilled and tapped for attachment to a shotgun’s receiver. You can find a list of compatible shotguns on the Vortex website.
While you can simply turn on/off the unit, it will also automatically activate with motion, offering a 10-minute auto-shut off time to save battery life. The top features two buttons for brightness control and other settings. The Viper SG green dot also comes with a custom tool, battery, lens cloth and rubber cover for protection.
