This Burris scope makes complex rangefinding reticles obsolete. It not only measures the exact range to the game, but provides an aiming mark that allows you to hold dead-on for a clean kill.
In recent years we’ve been inundated with scopes with fancy circles and mil-dots and other graduated reticles which were designed to aid in rangefinding and windage for long range shooting. For big game out to, say, 300 -400 yds, I find these complicated reticles clutter the field and obscure much of the target. Personally, I have trouble keeping track of all the reticle sunbtensions in this type of scope and much prefer a simple Duplex type reticle which I find works just fine on big game as far out as 400yd. But now there’s a far better solution – a revolutionary new Burris scope that helps us place our shots more precisely for cleaner kills. Amazingly, it also does away with the need for carrying a separate laser rangefinder or rangefinding binocular. Aptly named, the Burris Eliminator gives you instant dead-on aim. The Eliminator was designed to allow shooters to hit game farther out yonder than they can normally without help. No matter how fast and flat shooting the rifle may be, the extra range is only useful if we can deliver the bullet accurately. Modern flat-shooting rifles may extend a rifleman’s reach, but making a hit even with the best optics available still involves a fair bit of luck.
