With the early spring weather warming up but not predictable, Ridgeline’s new Monsoon Light jacket is the go.
Based on the classic Monsoon jacket, this version is built from a lighter, more breathable fabric, making it the perfect all-rounder. It can be worn over a T-shirt and it’s ideal for spring downpours and breezy days.
Teamed up with one of Ridgeline’s insulating fleeces, it’s just the job for year-round use.
It’s 100 percent waterproof, highly breathable and completely windproof — the minimalist 2.5-layer construction features a marled polyester outer which is both hardwearing and comfortable.
The Monsoon Light features a rugged, full-length front zip with a storm flap, two zipped hand pockets and a zipped chest pocket into which the whole jacket can be packed for convenient stowage in your vehicle or backpack.
It also has a roll-away hood that incorporates a bonded, stiffened visor to give extra protection from the elements.
Available in XS to 5XL in Navy or Deep Forest colours, the men’s Monsoon Light jacket retails for $249.95.
