Andrew Liddy keeps tackling the big fella’s in the NT!
It was about 6am and the dogs were plated, loaded on the Ute and ready to go. We hunted around all the billabongs and creeks that we normally do the rounds on, but luck wasn’t with us. By noon, it was getting too warm for the dogs, so we headed home for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, we were ready to go again. Before loading the dogs on the Ute, Jack (my Arab/Mastiff) took off down the creek. After hearing a faint yelp only one hundred metres away, we knew it was on. Jack and a cranky old fella were in the creek going hammer and tong.
The battle got out of hand, but after sticking the old fella, Desmond went back to the house and grabbed the Cruiser so we could winch the beast up. The photos were snapped and we guessed him to be about 110kg.
The team consisted of Desmond, (younger brother) Jack (Arab/mastiff) and my 5 Month old pup (wolfhound/mastiff).
