Bombard them with emails: SFF’s campaign make it easy

The Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party has a pro-forma letter that will be automatically sent to your local MP as is part of a campaign against the rushed NSW gun laws based on hitting politicians with huge numbers of messages.

You can use the link to contact your state and federal representatives, sending them a pre-prepared letter to “make it clear that if they support these rushed gun law changes, they have lost your vote permanently, and you will encourage those around you to do the same”.

Robert Borsak Jnr of SFF acknowledges that a pro-forma letter is not always the most impactful way for an individual to make a statement in politics but said the tactic in this case was not so much to express personal opinions as to show how widespread voter dissatisfaction is.

“We’re hitting them with numbers,” he said.

“We’d also have liked to have a march,” he added, “but that’s just too risky.

“The whole community — the shooting community, the hunting community, the collectors community, the industry — they can’t be ignored.”

More than 10,000 pro-forma letters have already been emailed through the SFF website. Along with the record-setting parliamentary epetitions, it is another very clear sign of how many shooters feel passionate about the knee-jerk reaction by NSW Premier Chris Minns.

“We’re the ones that have rallied the most out of anyone in history in terms of writing to Parliament. That is a massive thing.”
