When liberals (the philosophical type, not necessarily the political party) rail against private gun ownership, the people that stand against them for personal freedoms in their own countries and states are often maliciously labeled as “rednecks”.
Well, if I wish to preserve the freedoms of our egalitarian and once great society that my father and his ilk fought for, then I am happy to be so labeled.
Attached to this message are recent clips of Lyrnyrd Skyrnyrd’s anthem, “God + Guns” and Charlie Daniels’ “We need more Rednecks”. The last video is Tennessee Ernie Ford’s innocent little 1950 tune, “Shotgun Boogie”.
Right now in the Sydney area, one recently refurbished rifle range at Hilltop has been closed and the ANZAC Rifle Range at Malabar is in imminent danger of going the same way because a very small number of so-called liberals wish to wipe our long enjoyed freedoms, which hurt no-one, out forever.
Make no mistake here, their governing ideology is informed by socialist/communist example from recent history, where individuals’ freedoms are supressed ruthlessly for the good of a tiny ruling elite. This makes a stunning lie of their own “liberal” label.
You may like or loathe the musical style but it’s hard to argue the message in these videos.
