In September 2015, the Premier of New South Wales asked the Natural Resources Commission to review the management of pest animals in NSW across all land tenures for environmental, economic and social benefits.
As a part of its review, the Commission has released an issues paper that identifies the priority issues and opportunities for pest animal management in NSW. To help inform the review, the Commission is inviting public submissions in regard to the key questions outlined in the issues paper.
At Sporting Shooter, we believe that recreational hunters have a clear role to play in the management of pest species, yet this is given scant regard in the issues paper. If you have an interest in the management of pest species in NSW, and most hunters do, we encourage you to read the issues paper HERE and then provide your feedback HERE. As always, please keep your submissions thoughtful and respectful.
