GUN Control Australia’s claims about widespread public support for a ban on the Adler lever-action shotgun have today been exposed as a total fabrication, with their “massive public rally” held in a tiny room at NSW Parliament House and attended only by media and half a dozen political staffers.
Gun Control Australia have reached a new low, exploiting the recent tragic shooting at Parramatta Police Station to call for a ban on guns for farmers. The Parramatta shooting was carried out by an unlicensed, radicalised extremist youth with an illegal, unregistered World War 2 pistol, sourced from a known crime gang.
In response to this terrorist act, Gun Control Australia have demanded that governments around the nation ban registered lever action shotguns which have been available to licensed Australian firearms owners for over 130 years without incident.
Using the Parramatta murder victim’s son to gain cheap publicity for their meeting is further proof of this group’s sickening and perverse obsession with taking advantage of grieving victims to pursue their “ban farmers guns at any price” ideology.
Most concerningly, Gun Control Australia’s actions ensure Government attention is distracted from addressing the illicit manufacture, importation and distribution of illegal firearms. This delivers a devastating injustice to the very victims of crime the anti-gun lobby are using to support their radical agenda.
Gun Control Australia have consistentlylied about lever action shotguns, and continue to make farcical claims which at best belong in low budget, fiction movies.
