Even in the UK, where firearm laws are more restrictive than Australia, keen hunters find a way to control pests. These rats are “rattus rattus”, the common roof rat, which infest chook pens or roof cavities in cities and poultry farms.
As they carry disease, it is beholden on farmers to destroy them; then they call out the boys with the slug guns, which are a far cry from the old Gecado Model 16 we had as kids.
Apart from the odd cuss word, I can’t decypher what these English good ol’ boys are saying. Nevertheless, they have a hoot using night vision, a mildot scope and a precision air rifle that brings an instant demise to these marauders.
Have a look at the attached video and be advised that there is a small amount of bad language to begin.
