Registration of longarms in Canada about to go

Canadians will soon celebrate the endof registration of longarms following a 159-130 votes in favor of thenew bill. Canada’s president of National Firearms Association,Sheldon Clare said “This is a truly historic beginning for Canada. We are beginning to see the Government honor it’s commitment torepel bad firearms laws”.Prohibited firearms like handguns and someprohibited longarms will still require registration.

Like law abiding shooters in Australia, they too have been the scapegoat for an easy fix to gun crime, butit’s evident that logic prevails and the good work by the likes ofshooters, hunters and Canada’s National Firearms Association haspaid off. Although the bill must still go through the Upper House,it’s expected to pass unhindered due to its large majority. Theyhave finally woken up to the fact that the billions of dollars spenton maintaining a registry should have been spent on fighting crimeand the illegal gun market.

It’s a pity we can’t import a fewpollies from Canada, they’d probably do a better job than ours, save Robert Brown and Robert Borsak who are our only voice and doinga fine job for us via the Shooters and Fishers Party. Give them allthe support we can.
