The NSW Local Government elections will be held on Saturday, 4 December 2021 and the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party (SFF) will have a substantial showing of 21 excellent candidates across rural and semi-rural Local Government Areas in the state. See the table at the end of this article.
A fine example of the quality and commitment of a broad range of candidates is Kadeja Assad. Her Mini Biography appears below.
Kadeja Assad – SFF candidate for Camden Council
My name is Kadeja Assaad from Camden of NSW. Born and raised in Australia and loving life.
My parents are Lebanese immigrants. I’m the eldest of seven and a single mother to four grown amazing kids, Noura, Sabrina, Khaled and Mariam.
I’m a Bush Regenerator and Conservationist. Founder of the SSAA Sydney Ladies Shooting Program since 2018 and still going. I help raise funds for charities through my program which has been extremely successful. I absolutely love helping and will continue to help with all my ability.
I believe everyone has a choice in the way they choose to live their lives. No one should be judged or treated differently on how they choose to live, as we’ve all made both good and bad decisions in our lives. I believe in a fair go for all.
As a member of council, my focus will be on the following:
Increase Grants for the agricultural sector
Support Grants for farming
Focus on mental health through both awareness and an increase in facilities
Provide more educational facilities within the local area
If you cannot go to your local polling, stations you can request a postal ballot paper to be mailed to you, but time is running out, you can request a postal vote from the Australian Electoral Commission by following this link or better still, phone them to get your ballot paper.
In 1932, US Speaker of The House Tip O’Neil coined the statement, All Politics Is Local.
Local Council or Shire democratic representation Government is the first building block of your democracy and it is here we can realistically build a voice for Shooters, Fishers and Farmers.
