This is another of those afternoon serials that I used to sit glued to after school throughout the late sixties. The two heroes were Jace Pearson (played by Willard Ratner) and his sidekick Clay Morgan (Harry Lauter).
These guys would deal out rough justice to crims every show but they seemed to own a time machine because one show, they’d be in the 1880s and the next they’d be in 1950’s Texas driving along in some 50’s sedan with boulevarde suspension.
No matter, even as naïve kids we knew something was not quite right, but we suspended disbelief while we accompanied them around the old and new west. Loved their outfits and Colt Single-actions, in .45LC, no doubt.
The Youtube video below was a late replacement because the original theme that I uploaded appears to have been withdrawn from the web due to copyright or ownership issues, so apology for the full episode length and sound.
If you have difficulty hearing it, it goes to the tune of “The eyes of Texas are upon you” or the adopted “I’ve been working on the railroad”.
