Australian tests of the new Alcor PB223 button-release rifle indicate it is capable of 1.25 MOA accuracy and performs reliably during high-volume shooting.
Importer Hunts Shooting Supplies this week had the new rifle on the range, and told us they put 600 rounds through it before cleaning it, all without a stoppage.

Robert Hunt, who did the shooting, said he used three types of factory .223 ammunition during the tests on a 100m range, and achieved 1.25 MOA accuracy with OSA loads, 1.5 MOA with Hornady and 2 MOA with PPU.
“It was operating perfectly,” he said, putting some of the good performance down to the Alcor’s chrome-lined barrel and chamber.
“There is no plastic in the rifle anywhere,” he said. “It’s all mate: aircraft-grade aluminium and steel.”
He confirmed the first shipment would arrive by plane and was expected to be on sale before Christmas, and added that dealers had already ordered all the rifles in that delivery.

A second shipment will arrive in January.
They will go on sale for $1599, complete with a pair of 10-round magazines, a sling, cleaning kit, disassembly tool and manual, all in a hard case.
