CZ now has three Varmint models in its model 455 rimfire range, all with the switch-barrel flexibility that’s helped make the 455 so popular.
The Varmint range is now made up of the Classic with its standard walnut stock, the Thumbhole model with laminated stock and the Evolution target rifle with a very modern stock design in blue-grey laminated hardwood.
All feature the ability to swap calibres if you option up with the barrel kits. The three rimfire offerings are the ubiquitous .22LR, the quick little .17HMR and the harder-hitting .22WMR.
The Varmint barrels are all heavy ones to ensure and maintain accuracy, each 525mm (20”) long.
Five-round magazines are standard, and 10-round boxes are optional.
The Evolution stock is ambidextrous, although the bolt remains on the right side.
Prices range from $950 for the Classic in .22LR up to $1155 for the Evolution.
