The December issue of Sporting Shooter is out now!

December Sporting Shooter Out Now!

As the cover photo suggests, the lead story in the December issue of Sporting Shooter is all about hunting fallow deer. It’s an informative piece by Australia’s favourite gun writer, Nick Harvey, who gives you all the info you’ll need to bag yourself a trophy buck next rut.

There are plenty of other top hunting stories in the mag, too, starting with a report from our own Tony Pizzata about his latest sojourn to Cape York after pigs and scrub bulls.  Then there’s a piece from old hand Leon Wright about calling in foxes with a Scotch Predator Call, followed by a story from Peter McMukllan about a trip he made with a church pastor to send some goats to feral heaven. Finally, if that’s not enough, experienced hunter Mike Cleary shows us that limited time is no excuse for not getting out there with an entertaining yarn about a 27-hour hunt for goats and pigs in New South Wales.

In other features there’s a great ‘how to’ guide to making your own knife, while Nick Harvey reviews the Lithgow Crossover 101 – the first Aussie-made rimfire in 50 years.  It definitely gets the tick of approval from the gun guru.

In other product news we take a look at some varmint ammo from Federal, a powder dispenser from Lyman and a Vortex Razor spotting scope. Plus, of course, there are all our normal departments bringing you the latest product info, shooting news, competitions and photograph.  Check out the December Sporting Issue now at your local newsagent or gun shop.
