In a display of political shiftiness that ranks with the Gillard government putting Peter Slipper in the Speaker’s Chair, the O’Farrell Conservative state government slid into bed with the Greens and the Labor opposition to royally shaft all licensed shooters in NSW yesterday when they passed the Green-inspired ammunition control bill.
If you follow the link to the article in the TSFP website and today’s Daily Telegraph report, you will be up to speed on the siiue and where we stand as shooters in NSW. It is apparent that O’Farrell may well cultivate an unholy alliance with the Greens and Labor to neutralise the balance of power that TSFP have had until now.
He’d better hope that any more of his proposed contentious legislation that Labor and the Greens don’t like are put before the two Robs for their support.
Once again, we are left in the cold to paddle our own canoe. Donate to the Shooters and Fishers Party, keep writing to your state MPs and remember this day of infamy come the next election.
