I HAD BEEN lying sprawled out in the grass waiting for a rabbit to emerge from the blackberry bushes along the creek. I felt certain he wasn’t going to stay away from the sweet green grass he had been nibbling on when I carelessly tread on a dry twig and spooked him into cover.
Suddenly, the was a slight movement among the prickly tendrils about 20 metres away and the rabbits head appeared, eyes and ears twitching to alert the rodent to any danger.
