This state-of-the-art pump-action rifle combines high-tech design with a super-strong multi-lug bolt and unique cocking system.
THE GERMAN FIRM of Krieghoff is well-known as a maker of fine shotguns, but now they’ve strayed into the field of hunting rifles by bringing out a radical pump-action centrefire called the Semprio In-Line Repeating Rifle. A totally new design, the Semprio features a massive onediameter bolt with seven small petal-like rounded lugs that lock behind matching shoulders in the receiver ring providing a tremendous safety margin for unexpected excessive chamber pressures.
The rotating bolt head is recessed to depth of 3mm and the counterbore rim is unbroken except for a 4mm slot at 10 o’clock to make space for the tiny hook extractor. It’s located where an eighth locking lug would have been. A minimum diameter firing pin hole and a plunger-type ejector at 4 o’clock completes the bolt face geometry.
