It is no secret that I love Hickock 45 – he can really shoot well offhand, never a benchrest in sight and he bangs gongs near and far; this time with a Krag-Jorgensen 98 Spingfield-manufactured rifle. Shooting the .30 U.S. or .30 Army cartridge, more popularly known as the .30-40 Krag, it is a smooth-handling, beautifully made rifle that saw very short service between the old .45-70 Government and the introduction of the .30-03 (later .30-06) smokeless cartridge in their relevant service rifles.
At 20 minutes in length, you need to want to learn and watch some nice shooting by this grizzly ol’ fella. Enjoy.
