Shooters Fishers Farmers Party

SFFP looking for Parliamentary Assistant

There’s a job going with the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party in NSW, which is looking for a parliamentary assistant to work with them.

According to the job ad, you’ll “need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a qualification in law” as well as media skills.

Ideally, the party is looking for someone with at least 5-10 years of experience post-graduation.

Other tasks of a parliamentary assistant include speech writing and reviewing legislation, all while working in “a close office environment as part of a parliamentary team supporting members of parliament”.

You’ll need to demonstrate skills in office systems, such as Word, in an all-MS 365 environment, and be comfortable with social media such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.

A background check will be required before employment.

If you fit the bill with all that, and you also shoot, hunt, fish, are a farmer or were brought up in the country, you’ll fit the role especially well.

The position has become available because the incumbent is moving on, something that is not common in the SFFP office, we’re told.

If you are interested, contact party leader and upper house member Robert Borsak by email.
