There are plenty of feral pigs all over the countryside in this Australian bowhunting video, and the boars are in a fighting mood.
You’ll see and hear boars fighting, before, during and after the two successful kills.
You’ll find yourself looking down the arrow at full draw, almost able to hear the hunter’s heart thumping under his ragged breath as he tries to line up the shot.
It’s simply a hunt for a boars — scouting, stalking and taking the shot. And sometimes that’s all you want to watch.
The commentary is straight to the point: what’s happening, why choices are being made.
It’s all in open country and you’ll be amazed at how close he gets with limited cover, and sometimes none at all.
As so often happens, the wind is a bastard, time after time, and pigs get away. But not every time.
Eventually, with two boars down, the pigs go on fighting and we get to see up close the size of the boars and an impressive set of tusks.
What an exhilarating watch. (Although not half as exhilarating as it was for the hunter, judging from the heavy breathing! It is unbelievable what one can get away on some rare occassions. Testosterone has a lot to answer for. (The boar’s, that is!) Great video folks.
