BIG GINGER BOAR
“With the 2023 harvest out Western NSW, I went out for a few days to hunt those big stubble boars,” Paul Elder says. “First morning I sat off on a really well used pad that went into the stubble and came out to a good dam with plenty of wallows. I started glassing as that first light hit the stubble and straight away spotted a big boar making his way to the dam. I decided to make a play on this big brute and closed the gap to 100 metres. The Tikka Hunter in .308 and a 150gn Remington Core-Lokt knocked him off his feet. What a start to the summer hunting, especially off the stubble. Love this tme of year.”
HARD COUNTRY FOR HUNTING
