Developed specifically for field surveillance and range estimation, the quick-handling, lightweight Recon R/T features brilliant optical performance using Vortex’s premium XD glass and XR lens coatings. The versatile attachment clip secures the Recon R/T to any belt or strap for rapid deployment. The R/T ranging reticle, using mrad-based subtensions and secondary quick-ranging silhouettes, allow users to estimate the range of objects of known dimension; this is very useful for hunters operating ourtside of the maximum point blank range of their hunting rig.
While the tactical crowd no doubt appreciate the above feature list, a hunter needing a lightweight, rugged spotting scope would not be disappointed in one of these monoculars in open, wooded hilly country, like much of Australia. For that purpose, the 15×50 model is recommended. At only 175mm long and correspndingly light at 430g, you may like to check these out at your gunshop.
Also available in 10×50, the Vortex Recon R/T is distributed in Australia by Extravision. www.extravision.com.au
