SFP on track to win second WA seat

The Shooters and Fishers Party is on track to win a second seat in the Western Australian upper house as counting continues after last weekend’s election.

John Parkes has come up in the count for one of the six Legislative Council seats available in the Mining and Pastoral Region, and is currently ahead of the Nationals as preferences are distributed.

If he is elected, it will mean the fledgling WA branch of the SFP will have two members in parliament, a significant victory for shooters, fishers and outdoor enthusiasts.
